This is a David and Goliath Story.

We are not financially sustained by any parent organization, religious community, or other organizations. We rely solely on your support. The culture of death never takes time off, and neither can we. Planned Parenthood, NARAL, Northwest Women's Law Center and state and federal tax dollars keep the engine of death fueled. Despite that economic prowess, two abortion clinics have closed in Washington, cloning bills failed in the state legislature, and fewer and fewer doctors are willing to be stained by the practice of abortion. Yet the attack continues - on pharmacist right of conscience, the push toward physician assisted suicide, and the new eugenics marches on.

What we do behind the scenes is just as critical as what we do publicly. As the state's largest and oldest pro-life group, we do not focus on only one life issue, but carry the burden of protecting life from conception to natural death.

Publicly we provide critical news and commentary to thousands across the state via our E-News and Special Alerts. These reports coupled with our extensive website provides a valuable resource to the pro-life community. We provide information and speak to numerous groups, churches, and schools not only in the Puget Sound area, but we have 30 community affiliates across the state that also carry out this important work.

The media - TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, both local and national - seek us out to provide information and commentary on issues ranging from cloning and stem cell research to abortion, physician assisted suicide and health care workers' rights of conscience.

We provide written and oral testimony regarding legislation and we propose pro-life legislation every year, such as Parental Notification, stricter regulation of abortion facilities, women's right to know and many more.

We provide expertise both publicly and behind the scenes to numerous pro-family and religious organizations. We respond to hundreds of requests a year from individuals, legislative offices - both state and federal, professionals, and organizations for information, analysis, and help with resources. Our PAC assesses and endorses candidates and encourages pro-life individuals to become involved at every level politically.

Human Life of WA has taken the lead behind the scenes in coordinating strategy and bringing together experts, organizational leaders, and professionals on issues ranging from right of conscience to physician assisted suicide and embryonic stem cell research.

We provide contact information and notice of fund raising events for other pro-life organizations on our events calendar and in our E-News Brief. We are happy to do so, because this is an important part of being a resource to the entire pro-family, pro-life community. At the same time, we ask that you consider including us in your donation plans.
